2017 Block of the Month – Going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo!

It’s a quilt, playmat and a toy-storage bag in one, and it’s loaded with interactive elements to fire young imaginations. Claire Turpin and Jemima Flendt created this fabulous fantasy design, calling on their years of stitching prowess and their own children’s passions to achieve something that is full-on fun. Zoo themed, it’s split into octagonal wedges, beginning with a train-ride to the entry point and a wander around the animal precincts, including penguin, lion, hippo, elephant, giraffe and zebra enclosures. Kids will adore this interactive play mat/quilt/toy-storage bag with its pockets, flaps, softies and movable parts to keep them entertained. Lay it over their bed or across the floor for playtime. When it’s time to clean up, simply drawstring the edges to scoop toys into a handy sack. So let’s get started!
